Privacy policy

This policy explains how SOLAR CONNECT and SURYOVA ENERGYGRID 24BY7 PVT. LTD. (together, “we”) handle personal data collected through solarconnect.co.in.

What we collect

  • Details you give us: name, mobile number, email, pincode, property type, bill band, messages, and the inputs you enter in our calculators and Scout checks.
  • Technical data: device and browser information and, if you accept analytics cookies, pages visited and interactions.
  • For the Scout feasibility check, with your consent: the electricity bill you upload (photo or PDF), or your KSEB consumer number and registered mobile, plus your KSEB section, transformer (DTR) and the solar capacity you enter. These are sent to our Scout service. The website does not store the consumer number (only its last four digits) or the bill itself. A bill you upload is attached privately to your enquiry in our CRM (Frappe CRM) so our team can prepare your quote, and is kept for as long as we keep your enquiry.
  • With your written consent only: electricity bills, photographs and testimonials for case studies.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and run feasibility checks.
  • To manage your project, subsidy application and after-sales service.
  • To send the guides or reports you request and, if you agree, occasional updates.
  • To improve the website and measure our advertising.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the site and our CRM: ERPNext (customer and project records), email and WhatsApp messaging providers, Google (maps, analytics, reCAPTCHA), Anthropic (its Claude AI service reads a photo of an electricity bill that you upload for a Scout check, and the image is discarded after it is read) and our hosting provider. We share personal data with them only to deliver these services. We do not sell your data. For subsidy projects, we submit the information the PM Surya Ghar portal and KSEB require.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, and project records for the warranty and statutory periods. Data used for marketing is deleted or anonymised when you withdraw consent.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time.
  • Remove your installation from the public map within 24 hours of asking.
  • Choose essential-only cookies using our cookie banner.

Public map and testimonials

Residential installations appear on our map only at locality level, with no names or addresses. Exact pins, names, bills or photos are shown only with your signed consent, which we store in our CRM.
