Solar for your society. Take the common-area bill to fixed charges.
Lifts, pumps, lighting and the STP run all day, and they're the bill your committee argues about every month. A common-area rooftop system turns that into a one-time, fairly shared investment, with the paperwork a general body needs to approve it.
- PM Surya Ghar GHS/RWA slab ₹18,000/kW
- AGM approval pack
- Per-flat cost sharing
- Engineer-led structural check
*Energy charges reduced to zero where rooftop space allows a system sized to full consumption; KSEB fixed charges continue to apply.

Built around how you actually use power
Committees facing rising common bills
Lifts, water pumps, corridor lighting and the STP add up to a large monthly KSEB bill.
RWAs needing a transparent decision
Per-flat share, payback and savings, in a format an AGM can vote on.
New and old buildings
We check roof rights, structural load and shading before proposing a size.
From sunlight to a smaller bill
- 1
Common-meter generation
Solar offsets the common-area meter, the loads everyone shares.
- 2
Roof rights and structure first
We confirm roof access, load-bearing capacity and cable routes before design.
- 3
Choose how to share
Cost allocation per flat, per sq ft or per consumption, with the savings shared the same way.
Indicative price after subsidy
Subsidy at ₹18,000/kW is indicative: the GHS/RWA cap is being verified on the portal. Final proposal follows a site survey and committee approval.

Solar for societies & apartments: common questions
Who has to approve it?
Typically the general body or managing committee. Our AGM approval pack summarises cost, savings, per-flat share and the roof-rights checklist so the vote is informed.
Common meter or individual flats?
Common-area solar offsets the common meter. Individual-flat generation is possible in some buildings but needs roof allocation and separate net-metering. We assess both.
How is the cost shared?
Per flat, per sq ft or per consumption, whichever your committee prefers. The calculator shows the per-flat one-time share and the monthly saving.
Is a subsidy available?
PM Surya Ghar provides ₹18,000 per kW for group housing societies / RWAs. We're verifying the cap on the portal, so treat the figure as indicative until your proposal.
