Our headline is “Generate your own power. Pay only the fixed charges.” It is a precise claim, and here is exactly what it covers.
What goes to zero
Your energy charges, the per-unit part of the bill, can fall to zero when your rooftop has room for a system sized to your full annual consumption. Net metering credits surplus daytime units against what you draw later.
What does not
KSEB fixed charges continue to apply. They are a standing charge for your connection and do not depend on how many units you use, so solar cannot remove them.
When the result is partial
- Your roof is too small for a full-consumption system: we offset the maximum possible and tell you the exact figure up front.
- Heavy shading reduces what the roof can generate.
- Your consumption grows later, for example after buying an EV, unless the system was sized for it.
That is why every calculator result on this site shows “bill after solar” as your fixed charges, flags roof-limited cases, and carries the same footnote wherever the claim appears.
